Mathieu Rosenbaum is a full professor at Ecole Polytechnique, where he holds the chair “Analytics and Models for Regulation”.

His research mainly focuses on probabilistic modeling, data science and quantitative finance.

He has published more than 70 articles in leading academic journals on these topics. He received the Europlace Award for Best Young Researcher in 2014, the European Research Council Grant in 2015, the Louis Bachelier prize in 2020 and the Quant of the Year award in 2021.

Another aspect of Mathieu Rosenbaum's research is related to sports analytics. In particular he set up the collaboration between Ecole Polytechnique and Paris Saint-Germain, organizing notably the X-PSG Sports Analytics Challenge, a hackathon which gathered more than 3000 participants from the best universities in the world.
