Objectives

Scientific objectives of the school

• To highlight the different sources of existing data, in particular for the analyst participants (computer scientists and mathematicians).
• To introduce and demonstrate data analysis techniques in a way that allows non-analysts to make relevant choices.
• To have data owners/users interact with analyst participants in order to concretize interesting problems, identify necessary data collection processes, and explore the applicability of existing techniques.

Training objectives

• To give analysts a better idea of the data available and the sport specificities to be integrated.
• To create opportunities for data owners to add value to their data collection, to clarify the requirements in terms of detail and volume, as well as identify uncovered dimensions that could be interesting.
• To give data users a better idea of the available analysis tools/processes in order to provide inspiration for possible problems.
