Albrecht Zimmermann is associate professor at the University of Caen, working on pattern and pattern set mining, method verification, interactive mining, and sports analytics, especially match outcome prediction (and some betting). He's been co-organizing the "Machine Learning and Data Mining for Sports Analytics" workshop at ECML PKDD for a number of years, and was co-editor of the special issue of Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery on sports analytics. Prior to joining the Codag team at the University of Caen, he received his PhD from the KU Leuven, and completed a post-doc at INSA Lyon. |
